With almost an infinite amount of resources on The Force and the Jedi Order, I would have to stretch this series far beyond the Outer Rim Territories. Instead, I’m going to try and focus on what we’ve learned about the Force through the Jedi Masters in the film’s and TV shows. And who better to kick off this series than the most popular and arguably the most knowledgeable about the Force, Jedi Master Yoda.
He looks pretty good for being 900 years old. But with that many years of studying the Jedi Code, mastering and understanding the Force, he is without a doubt one of the most powerful Jedi The Order has ever had. And when we first meet Yoda, in Empire Strikes Back, myself along with Luke had instantly judged this 3 foot green book by it’s cover. And how could we not judge? From stealing Luke’s food (and spitting it out) to fighting with R2-D2 for a light.I wasn’t born when Empire was released in theaters, but watching Empire, I can’t help but imagine some of the audience members reactions upon first seeing Yoda in his introduction scene back in 1980. I guarantee they had a similar reaction as well.
Of course we find out that the 3 foot green guy turns about the be Jedi Master that Luke was seeking on the swamp planet of Dagobah. But what Luke finds out the hard way is it doesn’t matter the look or build of the person, and Yoda explains beautifully by telling Luke “For my ally is The Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. It’s energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.” In those few words, Yoda breaks down exactly what Jesus is telling us in Matthew 26:41 “The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”.
We tend to measure our limitations by what our bodies can and cannot do. But with focused prayer, and increase knowledge of The Word our bodies can channel what Jesus intended us to do on this earth, being The Light in a dark world. The Love and Grace of God and his promises can give us the ability to be “Luminous beings”, for our ally is Christ and a powerful ally He is.
May the Force (Christ) be with you.

dear R3-Rodriguez I liked your post on a powerful ally. I liked how you compared yodas quote on the force and about Jesus talking about the spirit. my question is has yoda ever flown a star fighter?
Thank you for your comment and taking the time to visit God Among Geeks Page.
To answer your question, yes. In the Clone Wars expanded universe, Yoda travels to Dagobah and Korriban to investigate extensively on the origins of the creation of the Clone Army. In his journey, he does use a modified star fighter in his travels. It’s similar to the Jedi Eta-2 Actis starlight that we see Jedis use. Yoda’s starfighter is equipped with blasters for defense and utilizes a Hyperdrive Ring that we see Obi-Wan use in Attack of the Clones.
